SoulSinq is an adults-only service. Nobody under 18 may create an account or use it. This page sets out our standards against child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), how to report it to us, and what we do when we find it.
1. What is prohibited
We prohibit, without exception and regardless of intent or context:
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in any form, including drawn, computer-generated or AI-generated depictions.
- Sexualising a minor in a photograph, a message, a voice note or a profile, including material that is not itself explicit.
- Grooming, solicitation, sextortion, or any attempt to make contact with a minor for a sexual purpose.
- Trafficking of minors, or offering, requesting or advertising such material or contact.
- Any use of the Service by a person under 18.
2. Keeping minors off the Service
- Registration is restricted to people aged 18 and over. You give your date of birth when you create your account and any sign-up below 18 is refused. We do not check that date against an identity document, so it is a declaration you make.
- Every photograph is automatically screened on upload, and anything the screening flags is withheld and reviewed by a person before it can be shown to anyone.
- Photographs are never public: they are revealed gradually and only between two people who have matched and are actually talking.
- If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we close it at once and erase its data, once any report involving it has been decided and, where an adult was involved, the evidence has gone to the authorities.
3. How to report
- In the app: open the conversation and tap the ⋯ menu, or tap Report or block on their suggestion, or ⋯ on their Soul Match profile; then Report and choose Underage. This is the fastest route and it reaches the same queue as everything else.
- By email: write to soulsinq@gmail.com. Put child safety in the subject line so it is picked up immediately.
- If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first. Please tell us as well.
4. What we do about it
Reports of this kind take priority over everything else in our review queue. When a report is confirmed we:
- remove the content and disable the account immediately, and permanently;
- preserve the evidence rather than simply deleting it: every report keeps a copy of the conversation it is about, even after a block, and an account involved in a report under review is not erased before the decision (we normally decide within 24 hours, and the erasure waits up to 14 days);
- report it to the competent authorities, and hand them that evidence: the police or national reporting body of the country concerned, or the CyberTipline of the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), which forwards reports to law enforcement worldwide;
- tell the person who reported it that a decision has been taken.
We do not issue warnings for this category. The person can contest the decision as our Terms of Service describe, and a person looks at it again; once the facts are confirmed, such an account is never restored.
5. Point of contact
Our child safety compliance contact is soulsinq@gmail.com. The same address is our point of contact under the Digital Services Act for users, Member State authorities and the European Commission. Messages are read by a person.
